Here is my attempt at a clean and simple Thinking of You card. I love using a mix of Tsukineko inks to create a watercolor effect. They are pigment-rich and blend like a dream. For November, Imagine is working with Rinea papers and I am having so much fun experimenting with how they emboss and handle ink products! I used the Walnut spray and Creative Medium on the Rinea paper and made a beautiful fall card.
I stamped a beautiful flower bunch from Simon Says Stamp with Brilliance Ink on a watercolor paper. I added some water on a small scoop of Walnut Crystals and painted the entire bunch with it. This is a monotonic theme card and I have used only one pigment to create all the highlights and shadows. I stamped a simple sentiment with Pinecone Versafine Clair ink and the painted panel is ready.
VersaMagic inks have a longer drying time so they are perfect to use with stencils where you can use multiple colors. I love to use stencils. Rather than clean the stencil, I like to lightly spritz the inked side of the stencil, flip it over, and place it on the second piece of cardstock creating a watercolored panel.
Planning to make wedding table decorations? By creating several easy-to-make matching pieces, the cost of the basic crafting supplies is still quite low per setting. Using the kraft cardstock as the background, you have the option to play with more color choices on the embossing powder or the dyed flowers with the Fireworks! Simmery Craft Sprays.
This month Imagine is celebrating terrific shades of teal and there are quite a few beautiful inks to bring to this party. I love teal and some of my favorite inks include a bit of shimmery goodness in them too.
I love the scent of gingerbread baking on a cold, frosty day, so I wanted to evoke that feeling in an art piece. I also think that red and green are kind of overdone during the holidays so in keeping with the gingerbread idea, I decided to stick with that color scheme too.
