Working with the Gelli Plate is one of the hottest trends right now, and I have to admit that I don't own one. I've really wanted to experiment with the monoprinting technique, and I soon discovered the the IMAGINE Crafts Craft Mat is perfect for achieving the same results!
1. Cut/score card base to a finished size of 4¼˝ x 5½˝ from white cardstock.
2. Add a few drops of Radiant Neon inkers directly onto the Craft Mat.
3. Spread ink using a brayer and put a stencil into the ink. Cover with cardstock, pressing evenly to create the print.
4. This is how the print looks. Just perfect for a nice background.
5. Stamp image using VersaFine Onyx Black ink.
6. Stamp some of the flowers onto a scrap piece of white cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black.
7. Sponge ink onto the flowers using sponge daubers with Memento Luxe Love Letter and Rhubarb Stalk, blending colors while applying the inks. Fussy cut the flowers.
8. Adhere the flowers onto the background layer with dimensional tape.
9. Apply irRESISTible Pico Embellisher in Wedding Dress and Radiant Neon Elelctric Pink onto the dots in the stamped image.
10. Assemble the card as shown in the finished sample.
