For the past four years I’ve been picking a single word that is my guide for the next 12 months. I like to put this word some place I’m going to see it a lot, so my planner is the perfect place to showcase it. The paper planner community has been growing by leaps and bounds, lately, and custom dashboards are a great way to personalize a planner.
When it comes to art- what brings you motivation for 2016? For me it is creating more art in the new year. This journal page has several three dimensional elements created out of paper and ink.
Despite winter’s chill, there are two things warming my heart these days: Christmas fun and the upcoming SciFi goodness of both Star Wars and Star Trek. Since I have quite a few fellow geeks on my Christmas list, I thought--why not combine the two? After all, what’s colder than space? This card is also perfect for any long-distance holiday greeting, space-fan or not.
With the winter holidays coming soon [Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa] I decided to start with the first of three, Hanukkah, known as the ‘festival of lights.’ Here’s the card and ‘how to’ tutorial…enjoy!

I used a recent photo of her to create a beautiful layout using strong colors – reminding her that she is capable of anything, but most of all – a homegrown natural beauty. I used StazOn Studio Glaze to create the beautiful doll for this layout.
This card works like a sudoku puzzle. It comes along with several letters and embellishment. Because of using Tack’n’Peel, everything adheres non-permanent on the surface, so you can spend a lot of funny time combining it and trying to find out how many words, phrases and designs are possible to create. Hubby had a lot of fun with the possibilities.
Here is a gift tag that reflects a personality. Fun to make and even more fun to give away, it can double as a bookmark.
Sometimes creating a flat card is just not good enough, sometimes something different is refreshing. For today I created an accordion fold card inside a little box. Not only can it be used for the card, you can add a small gift inside for the recipient too.
